I have the 15707 CE Diver and the SD43. The SD43 gets more wear, as it works better for the office, but the Diver is (IMHO) much cooler.

I have both and like them both for different reasons. Both are great watches. I have a 6.5" wrist and both wear comfortably. The Diver wears slightly bigger and taller in my opinion. I have no issues wearing either on a daily basis. Pictured here is my white Diver but I also have a black one as well. I'd say the Diver is certainly more unique.

Wise to upgrade Rolex SD43 to AP Diver 15710ST?

This is my setup and agree! They wear very similar in size, the Diver is my short sleeve summer watch for sure (white dial / white strap) while the DSSD is a beast and what I wear when I don’t want to worry about wrist awareness. I’m tempted by a bracelet for the Diver, but I like the runner strap.

If you can get a bracelet for your diver then go for it. Put one on mine and really loving it!

It just depends on your taste. AP divers do nothing for me, I love the SD43 and find it the ultimate modern diver.

I preferred the SD43 over my AP Diver. The SD43 has subsequently been replaced by the beast that is the Deepsea.

Over engineering at it finest. ( I found the wider clasp on the SD43 just too wide and bulky and missed the beauty and practicality of the DSSD's clasp.)

Don’t do it, the SD43 is the best diver ever made!

Depends

Do you want haute horology = AP

Do you wants a Monster of the Sea, a Diver, iconic, original, with history, a real Badass with one of the most reliable movement: Rolex.

For my are no contest here: Sea Dweller in the morning, afternoon and night!

AP of course - so many rolexes out there, I vote for being a bit more different than others.

So hard to advise on this one. I have a 116600 and love it, it’s my longest standing watch and it ain’t going anywhere. But, my Dicer 15710 gets way more wrist time and is so much more special. Is it as good a watch, probably not. Is it as good a dive watch, absolutely not. But does it feel more special, every day and twice on a Sunday.

So really depends what you’re looking for.
