Need help identifying this AP Royal Oaks 37mm

Hi guys,

I spotted on this AP Royal Oaks in 37mm but can't seem to find any details of this model on the internet except only in Japan website.

It's selling in Japan's used watch shop, the reference is ST4790/789 come with Calibre 2125.

It come with box and paper though.

That seems to be a ref 14790ST, it is 36mm. Most likely early - mid 90s based on the dial variant with long indices and straight AP text.

To nitpick, it doesnt look like straight text to me (?), but yes 14790 one would think. Nice if ur into it and have small wrists

But why on the certificate wrote ST4790?

And I thought 14790 only come with 2225 Calibre

1,725,500 jyen is 14.364 €. This offer, you should not miss such an opportunity to have a 36mm RO at such a price.

It’s 1.1m yen, even cheaper. About $10k-ish. Very good price.

Yes it's roughly a price of GMT 16710.

But the reference number make me worry. I can only find it on Japanese 2nd hand shop selling this model.

Wouldn't hesitate. Pull the trigger. Do they have at least something from the set?

Plus being sold in Japan, a big plus. Preowned in Japan usually good specimens.

Not necessarily no.
I own an early D series 14790, mine is also a cal 2125.

The only thing I would want to see more of before pulling the trigger is the case condition.
The RO design is a magnificent one, but it's glory is taken away with a soft case to me. Nothing like a sharp RO.

Good luck!

If that is image of an actual watch then it is obvious condition is great, and it doesn't show signs of polishing. 10k bucks for a 36mm 14790...
