A Lurker Stumbles Into the Open
Hello, everyone. I've been a lurker on this forum for some time, mainly for information purposes, and I've decided to say hey to everyone. I'm a relative newcomer to the world of Montres Rolex; I've been an Omega man all my life, and that's primarily what I still am. My father purchased my first Rolex, a Sub, for me when I graduated university and later as I started doing deep sat and exotic gas diving, I fell in love with the 16600. A girlfriend a few years back bought me a vintage 1505 TT Date; naturally I didn't not dump the watch along with her.
In between being an programmer and amateur writer/journalist, my hobbies are photography, diving, climbing, horses, and my lifelong love of horology that began when my grandfather gave me an Omega cal. 861 to play with. I took it apart and then put it back together. When it started working, I was hooked. That's about it, I think.

Hi John,
You've stumbled in on the right place. You'll love it here! Its been may years since I've owned an omega (My Dad's fave watch) I've had many seiko autos, then my Omega Seamaster (gave to Dad as a prezzie he loved it) then started on Rolex, Have recently sold my Sub 16610 and only have my 16233 DJ TT left which was my first :-) Have a great time here, awesome bunch of people, why go anywhere else for info :-) Enjoy, Dave.
