Best water I have ever seen and have been to numerous Caribbean islands! The island itself is not so great.

If you’re still there, I recommend dinner at the Flying Fishbone. Your table is literally in the water, ankle deep. Great seafood and beautiful sunset!

I respectfully disagree about the island not being great. Of all the islands I have visited, Aruba and Grand Cayman are two that I felt most comfortable renting a jeep and explore everywhere. It has an interesting mix of desert like half and lush forest half. constant cooling trade wind.

I recommend renting a jeep and go explore the island. If you have kids, then visit Baby Beach. It’s a lagoon with knee high water level and snorkling option at the lagoon entrance.

That watch is made for doing exactly what you are asking of it! Enjoy your travels! Gorgeous island. Been a couple years since I was there and look forward to going back later this year.

Agree with everything you said but the lush tropical area is not native to aruba. It was brought there. My comment was based on the dry arid area that is unique but definitely not tropical. Being at the equator is why it is so arid. The cooling winds are great.

Here’s a shot before dinner tonight. Stay tuned for a potential incoming when I return to Aruba in 2 weeks.
