Lots of SS watches

I was walking around and passed a watch store. To a great surprise I saw multiple SS watches including Daytona, BLNR, Sky D, Hulk. I had to investigate, and noticed most were brand new with stickers. I should mention I was in Vail, CO. The guy had 2 black dial Daytona's and said he could get me a white dial one in 2 days. I believed him based on his inventory. The place is Princess World Jewelers and they were very nice and knowledgeable about the watches. The price was similar to Bobs and DavidSW. So, if you are in Vail and want a SS watch on the spot this is another option.

That's why I stress don't feed the grays. By feeding them they have more money to buy out more of the AD stock. Supposedly there is a ss shortage yet there are tons of them available at gray dealers brand new

Yeah i can walk across the street from my office and walk by 10 BLNR's, 10 BLRO's and countless Green submariners. But they cost way more than MSRP.

Do not misunderstand this "shortage." These watches are around, they just aren't for sale for MSRP.

I specifically asked about the price for black dial Daytona and he said $26k. It was brand new with stickers. Dealer nicely said I can not wear the watch which I totally understood. Not sure how much flexibility on the pricing. I am sure they get a lot of European clients on holiday and they are probably make up a majority of the clients. I am guessing the others were inline with the other gray dealers or slightly higher.

Ya right, probably one of the worst places to buy when its time to pay, look at the location, it gets flooded with millionaires on vacation. I would think 26k for a black Daytona would force you to go PM.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

It’s a personal decision but I won’t pay the grey prices. Don’t believe in feeding the beast. From the look of his inventory I’m not alone .

Crazy thing is the secondary market prices are continuing to rise for the hottest models. I wonder when we will see the peak.

A crash is coming folks.

The greys where I live are empty. Empty.

Used to be filled with cash rich tourists. Course I'm in Japan so there is that.

Can't speak for anywhere else. Your results may vary.

Exactly this. Just because the economy is good doesn't mean one should just piss away money. By holding out and not feeding the greys and flippers would be the right step back to normalization.

BTW, has anyone noticed the so called "influencers" are no longer hyping Rolex up on Youtube? I think they have run out of stuff to talk about.
