Better Call Saul

Just finished season 4... hysterical and gripping.

I recommend highly.

It’s too slow for me. I just read the recaps. I personally find mike the most interesting of all the characters. The show for me is very slow and I can’t watch it for this reason. I’m starting to find the coen brothers the same.. they film plates of food, trash cans, car wheels etc as if it’s somehow interesting and plot exposing.. I hope Vince (can’t recall last name) realizes this with the Saul show.. the writer and producer I mean. It’s a brilliant show but they need massive editing by a third party in my opinion. It’s a shame to me. The “slow burn “has become jock itch for me with that show. I can’t watch it anymore and won’t. I will read the episode recaps vs watching it. I’m sorry if this offends. It’s a great premise, just poorly executed in terms of pacing... the flashbacks and coen impressions are just too much when trying to watch this show, for me.

For some reason, I never watched Breaking Bad, or Never Call Saul or Goliath. They sort of slipped through the cracks, but I've pretty much watched all of Netflix, and most of Prime and a lot of Acorn which I love because of the Australian and NZ shows and looks like soon heading over to BritBox.

I will have to go back to Netflix and watch what I missed though and catch up.

I seem to be watching faster than these guys can make the shows.

For me it's too slow as well. Managed season 01, but that's it.
Breaking Bad I really enjoyed

Breaking Bad is difficult at times...very...but is simply brilliant. Once you make it through the first four episodes (not necessarily an easy task), you do not stand a chance of avoiding your greatest Netflix binge yet.

Better Call Saul

I would have to say that Saul simply lacked the presence of Breaking Bad for me and consequently it was hard to stay focused, but what do you expect after Breaking Bad, undoubtedly one of the best written Television dramas period. I suppose I will give Saul another try.

Yeah love Brokenwood. Unfortunately I’m almost at the end, and don’t want it to end. Love the lady cop as well. Great character. It’s probably my favorite of all the “foreign” shows.

Vera, and the Scottish ones are so dark and depressing all set in depressing, cold, windswept locales kind of don’t make them fun for me. The character are trying to get killed just to escape the shitty weather.

Most of the Brit and London ones are pretty dark , Luther, Wire in the Blood, and Line of Duty is pretty much corrupt cops.

Interesting you say that because I kinda got stuck at the first couple and haven’t progressed .

I’ll bite the bullet and persevere.

Don’t worry about it.

It’s not available in Canada, and they don’t show Leaf games.

I hear you. It is hard to find a decent show that isn't dark and populated with serial killers. There is a Russian show, actually Ukrainian, called Sniffer about a cop with a super sense of smell. He solves crime and they aren't too dark.

No.

It’s a good deal, but easy to reach the end, and now that HBO, BritBox, Prime, and others are around, a bunch of shows won’t show up now.

Pretty slow. Mike is the only character worth watching.

Although slower than Breaking Bad I still enjoy it. Maybe Vince is really building it up to be more like Breaking Bad in the later seasons once Jimmy becomes Saul.

I like BCS than BB despite the slower pace. Granted my fav BCS characters are all from BB (Gus, Saul, Mike, etc...). That first SG episode on BB is still awesome w/ Badger.

I enjoy “Better Call Saul.” And I’d watch Jonathan Banks (Mike) read the phone book on a show. He’s steals every TV show or movie in which he participates.
