The challenge with voting early is the possibility of your candidate dropping out before the actual primary date. I think there are going to be some bummed out voters today.

Bill, I see that you're in Michigan. Not sure if you're aware, but if you did vote early for a candidate that dropped out of the race, you can go to your local clerk's office and recast your ballot while expunging the old ballot. I'm not sure what the law is in other states though. I'm loving the changes we voted in for Michigan elections in 2018. Finally don't need to rearrange my day on election day to vote.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm fortunate that I am available to vote on the actual election day here. I enjoy the social aspect of being there and seeing everyone involved in the electoral process. Yesterday's developments certainly throw a wrench into today's decisions for many people. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
