Are you forgetting the use of Rabbits for pregnancy testing years ago.....yes the outrage was its demise. My neighbors raised rabbits for the labs, they had to be albino and a certain weight. Any that didn't fall within this range, were consumed....lol

My wife’s grandparents kept a pen out back for rabbits and they ate one every month or so lol

And this wasn’t in a rural area I’m talking DC suburbs lol

We had one when the kids were in middle school.
A very nice pet. Trainable, did tricks, sat and watched tv with us, sat in our laps and loved to be petted and was potty trained. He knew when it was bedtime and went to his cage automatically - we never had the cage closed, he had free reign.
He was in his teens when he died and I cried all day.

We had one that was a great pet. Seemed to be self potty trained, always went back to his cage when he had to go. He would jump up on the couch so he could sit on our laps, loved to be petted.

You forgot the horse. How can you forget the horse? We've had close to 30 threads on horse meat jokes and this is the one you forget?

There's a "you and the horse you rode in on" joke buried in there.

If you had a bunny as a pet, you’d be neck high in marbles. They’re good pelts, not pets.

Dearly departed Preston and Nutmeg.

Preston and Nutmeg had the run of the garden and access to their cages at night.

Preston also had the run of the family room and never made a mess inside.

Nutmeg stayed outside.
