Ladies Rolex Pendant Watch "15 RUBIES"
Please Help Identify Ladies fleur-de-lis Rolex Pendant Watch.. Is it real or knockoff ? Age ? Model ?
I have a Ladies Rolex Pendant watch in what appears to be gold. Guessing its from around early 1900's because of wording used on movement. It hangs upside down from a fleur delis pin and has odd styled english numbers on the face. It is styled like a small pocket watch with a rear hinged cover. The info below is in case the pics are not clear enough. Inside the cover it is stamped: R.W.C. Ltd, 9 (inside a diamond) + .375 (inside a vertical rectangle), ROLEX + 7 WORLD'S RECORDS (in a semi circle), Gold Medal, Geneva-Suisse, 23584 I think serial number at the bottom: 23584. On the movement it is stamped in gold filed letters: "15 RUBIES", deeper in the movement is stamped a number: 59. There are what appear to be repair codes (?) scratched on the inside of the cover: 191-417, 18-61-???, 170X-10X-3 1/2, there are others but the photo is to pixelated. Dont want value or sale, just whatever info might be available. I've been mesmerized by this watch that belonged to my grandmother since I was a teenager. On passing she gave it to my daughter who stashed it away and we all forgot about it until the other day, 18 years later. Thanks Bob |

Hi Bob, You probably wont get any more information than what you have already. If you post a pic then we can help you determine its rough age based on its styling but there are no records for these watches for when they were made.

Thanks for responding.
I had to reduce the images to get them uploaded. I'm hoping to find out the age, etc. I have better pics on my dropbox.. the link wont post here yet. |

Was your grandmother a nurse? That's a nurses' watch. They hung upside down so that it was right side up when you handled it.
Nice family heirloom, congratulations. |
