5513 Opinions Please

This is advertised as 1969 5513. It has a twinlock crown.

Price is just under $11k

I am no vintage expert, but was wondering opinions on the dial..etc

The case looks a bit soft to me...

Just looking for some experienced eyes to find something I should know (if there is any)

Thanks!

Hi, I assume soft case means over polished? Rough hands mean? Thanks.

Agreed with above, although my biggest issue is with the over-polished case. Those are some sad crown guards. The corrosion on the hands ain't great either.

Honestly, it’s hard to tell with just a single picture from the front. Comments about a soft case (eg polished) can be generally inferred, but lighting can really make or brake how much of those camfers still remain.

I’d say the same thing about the dial. It’s difficult to determine how much of the “fuzz” is due to dial aging or scratches due to the crystal. Get more pics or, best of all, see the watch in person and you’ll get a better idea about the condition and whether the price matches.

I agree about better photos. I really dislike processed photos like that from a seller. Personally, I can tolerate some honest oxidation on hands at the right price, but the case deserves scrutiny.

The price is very okay but the hand needs to be changed.
