Incoming - Jules Audemars!

Hi all,

Delighted to add this 36mm rose gold Jules Audemars to the collection. This is my second AP, the other being the steel Millenary 4101 so they compliment each other nicely.

Initial impressions of the watch are it has a typical high quality AP feel and finish. Very slim and elegant timepiece with a nicely decorated dial and just as well decorated movement. Just wanted to share some pictures - thanks!

Many thanks, it is indeed a lovely piece and the gold provides some nice heft to otherwise a very slim timepiece.

Many thanks all for the very kind comments. It is really nice to wear something unique. I very much started collecting sports watches but my taste is now towards gold, simple well decorated in all respects dress watches - perhaps I am getting old!

Not sure if anyone else feels like this but I find deployments pretty uncomfortable compared to a simple buckle.

See how (kind of) small it looks on your wrist, but how nice the final overall look is.

Another solid proof that it is so much better to go small rather than large, and also that they knew well back in the old days to make watches in the 36-38mm dia. size for men.

May you always enjoy this beautiful timepiece in good health.

Completely agree - personally 36-39mm is the sweet spot for a dress watch for my small wrist. However completely understand if some guys go larger, the rule is the lugs should never overhang the wrist. Thank you for your wishes.

I have one AP an RO 14800. I think the real watchmakers are to be found in the Jules Audemars unit. Their watches are all works of art and complications. RO’s and ROOS are frankly mundane and not any real art except for the original RO design captured by the 14800. Congratulations on a fine watch.

An interesting perspective - thanks for this honest note. There are so many models and product lines that go unnoticed for many top tier brands just because they are not the “in” thing. I am certainly one of those willing to handle these in person and am rarely let down.

The best bit about it is because these amazing pieces are not in demand at the moment they can be had at amazing secondary value and this piece is a bargain!

Absolutely stunning. I really like how it’s the perfect mix of eye catching, yet subtle? Not sure if that makes sense. Gorgeous piece, OP! Wear it in good health!

Many thanks, I just think today and for a while now collecting watches is too much being associated with the trend/monetary side of things. Now fair enough no one wants to take a bath if they need to sell but what happened to collecting for the sheer love and passion for haute horology.
