TT Daytona, most underrated piece to start my collection

Finally grabbed my Daytona, black face with gold. Heavily underrated and a bargain compared to Panda in the grey market. True work of art, under MSRP too!

I am in love with the Yacht-Master 42 as my piece next piece with the oysterflex band, what do you all think of that piece?

I don't believe any Daytona model is "underrated".

TT Daytona, most underrated piece to start my collection

Congrats!

I don’t think it’s underrated. Stainless steel is just more affordable to a larger segment of the population and the Gold mixed with SS is very shiny and dressy, which doesn’t suit everyone.

If you mean financially underrated because it doesn’t fetch a premium, some may say the stainless steel version is overrated :)

It’s a beautiful watch, wear it with a smile and be happy you’re one of the few that can afford one, especially at this particular point in time during a global pandemic.

I’d recommend you try it on first.

I felt the white gold reflects the rubber so much that the entire watch looks like rubber, which is further emphasised by the matt black ring and black dial. I’ve experimented quite a bit with Rubber B bands on my Rolexes and have always come back to solid metal bracelets. In my opinion it’s better to buy a full metal bracelet and buy a RubberB so you can swap when you feel rebellious But you can always go back to the bracelet when your rebellious phase ends.

Just my 2 cents.

Very good perspective, I never thought about that. In terms of the value, the SS offers that and adding an oysterflex band style is much cheaper than going for the white gold model.

YM 42 is a lovely piece, but I would want it on a bracelet. But of course when/if this happens it will add $$$$ to the price
