It’s an amazing brand and I love them. Here’s my latest pick up. Not everyone’s cup of tea. But I absolutely love this one.

That's an interesting shot there. Happen to have a caliper handy? I'm curious to know how the SD and Pelagos dials compare, in regards to diameter.

Yes, only for peasants, that’s why they are so likeable and that’s literally what I like about the one I have. It’s my Grandfather‘s. He was an olive farmer and the acrylic crystal still bears the marks of his trees. It is the one watch that truly has a meaning in my collection. So by all means, get the peasant‘s watch and embrace the beauty of being poor and ordinary, but oh so special in your own way, rather than defining degrees of specialty by how many of the exact same status symbols all the other rich kinds also have you can amass.

Would be a tough settle to accept

I believe Tudor are increasing in popularity with a younger customer. May become en vogue eventually if not already there...

To be honest there are days where Tudor excites me more than Rolex (not every day, but certainly some). Between their bronze watch and heritage advisor they have something Rolex does not. Also the Rolex chronos looks cooler than the Daytona.

I personally think Rolex uses Tudor for their experiments and unique watches that would make WIS's heads explode if released under the Rolex brand name. Can you imagine a flat ceramic and titanium Pelagos or a neo-vintage gilt dial Black Bay showing up in the Rolex catalog, or heaven help us replacing a Rolex model? People here get twisted about 0.5mm hand hour hand length changes and font colors, it would be chaos.

Someone chimed in and told me this was not true and the design teams are entirely separate FWIW, but I like the thought of it.

The price of a Tudor certainly removes it from the "poor man's" watch category. Good grief, what do you consider a "poor man's" watch.

I have always said in my mind that Tudor is the poor man's Rolex. I've also thought that it was made at a more reasonable price but still a great watch. I never considered getting one though.
