New Arrival Today!

New arrival today! I'm diggin' it.

The hands have shiny frames that dazzle nicely against the matte charcoal dial. It sits tall on the wrist, but I like that about a watch of this type. The strap is nicer in person than I expected (yeah, I bought it never having seen one in person).

Cheers!

I tried one of those in in Mexico right before the lockdowns. Loved it.

I was especially impressed by the pusher feel of the manufacture movement.

Congrats and enjoy!

Looks great, congrats! I own a 2000 IWC Chronoflieger, your watch’s grandfather.

Congrats, it's a great watch and you'll love it. I own a 1998 split second IWC pilot and I enjoy it every day.

Looks fantastic on you. The strap is cool. The long lug2lug and tallness certainly works for that type of watch, unfortunately that means it won't work for some ppl (including me). Like that about IWC though, true to history, no compromise.

Thanks everyone! Its rate results seem really good so far. The chronograph operates very nicely (a bit more crisply than my Speedmaster Pro). Given the thickness of the case, it fits surprisingly well; it stays put without feeling like it's strapped too tightly. I'll try to come back in a couple of days with some photos that are more interesting than these wrist-shots, but that means I would have to remove the watch from my wrist :-)

Thank you. My wrist is 7 inches / 17.8 cm. My sense is the profile of my wrist might be a bit broad/flat.

Very nice. Is it a fabric strap? Deployant clasp?

Thank you. The strap is a very robust textile on the outside (seems like a blend of natural and synthetic fibers), and lined in a nice, dark brown calf skin on the side that lays against the wrist. After a week of use it's still a bit stiff, and I'm hoping it will become a bit more pliable with time.
