If you do end up with a third just make sure it sings to you. Should alway be excited to see it and wear it.

Many times I hear collectors talk about needing a watch and I think it is just terminology, not a real need. We all know that we can do without a lot of thing but would like them. Justification is an interesting process and we each walk through it differently. A Date Just would add a lot to your two watch collection. I would do a 41 with a fluted bezel and a jubilee bracelet and a dial color that is not black. The blue is nice and so is the silver. Add it in, wear it and enjoy. Pay the right price and you will not get hurt should you decide to move on at some point in the future. In the end it will not make much of a difference and if it makes you happy then you should do it.

I haven’t met many Rolex watches I don’t like but the bezels on most of the so called “Sports” models I find most interesting. Daytona’s for sure, Explorers are cool but the Submariners, GMTs, Sea Dwellers even Yachtmasters have interesting bezel dial combinations. Just my opinion but the OP seems to have many bases covered already with his two watches.

Rethinking the need for a third...

IMO- a DJ is a must have for any collection. It is a dresser and a sports watch (Sub, GMT, Daytona) is not a substitute. In my collection I have a DD40 to play that role but is not appropriate for international travel that takes you to most developing countries.

What do you all think?

I appreciate everyones input.. As I stated earlier, I know it's not a need. I should have chosen my word better.
I think I am going to continue to add to my watch fund while I am waiting to see if something strikes me. I like the idea of having a dressier watch to add to the rotation, but to be honest... I don't really have a lot of occasions to wear a dressier watch. I haven't eliminated the idea, just haven't committed to it either. I am completely happy with the combination that I have.
I do like seeing the suggestions and comments you all have. Keep them coming.

By all means get a third if you want and why shouldn't you. But not a DJ, I just find the DJ mundane. Consider other options as has been suggested, possibly a Daytona? A Bluesy perhaps?

At the end of the day its your money and your choice...

I have a 114060 and black dial datejust 41 jubilee fluted bezel. As much as I love my sub, I was just thinking it makes my sub feel mundane. Like it so much getting a blue dial with smooth bezel and oyster bracelet. But I agree with the Daytona on a waiting list for a white dial.

We may not agree on the DJ but it appears we agree on motors. Am on my fourth RRS.

If you really want a Rolex again, go classic like DD or DJ.

Nice! It is my first. I have really only owned Mercedes but always thought the RRS is the best looking SUV, gave it a chance and not looking back! I loved the look and was surprised how smooth of a ride it is.
