Any Avid shooters here? Rolex durability.

Hello since acquiring my 116660 and I do a lot of hunting and handgun training, what are your opinions on the durability of the dive watches while shooting.

Scenario is 3-400 rounds of .45 and 10mm a weekend. That is a lot of hard recoil.

Anyone have any experience here?

I would imagine it’s fine but when I shoot I leave off the mechanical watches

I'll usually take off my wedding ring, I don't want to scratch a 1911 but never a watch.

Yup, got that also. Doesn't answer my question, though.

Many armed services members have worn Rolex watches, some were even issued to them. They used to be sold at the PX and lots of them are still on the wrist of Vietnam and Korea era vets.

They'd probably get a good kick out of the "I scratched my brand new Submariner, should I get it serviced" and "I dropped my watch onto carpet, will it be OK" threads on here, given what them and their watches have been through.

No issues wearing Sub, SD, DSSD while running lots of rounds through 9mm Glocks
