New 5711 rotor immobile

Three month old 5711. New 26-330 movement. The rotor has become immobile. Haven’t done anything to jar it or submerse it. It winds manually and runs fine. Clearly has to go back for a fix but has anyone heard of this problem? Thanks.

So sorry to hear about your plight. Thankfully this has not happened to the rotor on my 5711 with the new movement.

Only silver lining to this is that it will be fixed under warranty and repaired properly.

That is a weird, and very rare problem. No worries, send it to PP for service and wait. Hopefully the service time is not too long, which cuts into your two-year warranty. When you eventually get it back, ask PP to extend your warranty to two years after you get it back from service, as that's the right thing they should do of course.

Thanks. Do you think they prioritize warranty work?

They are supposed to but I still waited a while for one back, I had one sent back after a service as it kept stopping, I was told they put the warranty watches in a different queue, I can imagine quite a backlog at the minute
