Short answer----yes.

Longer answer----you have a very nice focused collection of modern divers. The DSSD would add the latest technical features that Rolex has to offer to the group.

Sure, the DSSD would go VERY well with your theme of divers.

If you wanted to stay in the Rolex line then it's a no-brainer, but if you wanted to look elsewhere you might want to look here:

Im not sure I understand what your asking. If your are a collector of Divers, the the Deepsea is a no brainer because its the best (mechanical) diving watch ever made.Best in the world.

Sorry but I don't understand what you are asking?

Just curious, do you actually dive to those limits?

I can't speak for you, but considering the watches you listed, I would say we have very similar tastes. I've owned (or own) pretty much every watch on your list with the DSSD being my latest acquisition almost 6 months ago. My verdict - DSSD is BY FAR my favorite of the whole lot, hands down. Take from that what you will.

In my opinion, the DSSD blows all the other watches out of the water, pun intended. Realistically though, I think it will be the crown of your collection.

I'm pretty sure he was just using a little word play to ask our opinions if we think he should add the DSSD to his already extensive collection of deep divers. Anytime someone shares with me their collection, I use it as a means to get a feeling for their preferences and how it relates to my preferences. Obviously if we have similar tastes, then more than likely my reaction to a certain watch might be very similar to the reaction he'll experience.

Obviously nobody really needs more than one watch (and I'm pretty sure we would all survive if we didn't even have one watch), so I guess the question is impossible for us to answer for his situation, but we can at least share our thoughts on the subject which is ultimately what I think the OP was looking for.

Well, we might think of the Deep Sea as the most waterproof watch, but, really, it represents the most indestructible watch, and the depth-rating, along with other attributes and qualities, testify, like credentials, to the indestructibility of the watch...and it looks nice, too.

I guess some of the super-cars would serve as an analogy.

The owners of any of the 200mph types of automobiles really have little probability, even possibility, of driving them 200 miles per hour.

However, the ability to go 200 miles per hour attests to an automobile's capabilities at normal speeds, in terms of emergency handling, braking, acceleration, etc.

I once owned an early performance BMW automobile, and it felt so safe to go normal speeds in that car that it actually felt too slow.

It literally ruined other cars for me.

The owner of a Deep Sea knows that if he survives a situation, his watch will not only survive, it will keep accurate time through the whole event.

Pretty cool.

Great collection! SDDS for sure!

A Blancpain fifthy fathoms wouldn't go amiss with that great divers collection!
