Rolex should start doing annual town hall type of event
This is just some wishful thinking on my part... But shouldn't Rolex start doing a sort of press conference/town hall type of event similar to those that Steve Jobs used to do for Apple?
And I know we can just look at the models online and read the brochure, but I'd be fun to hear from the designers, management, horologists, etc. Especially regarding the thought process behind the changes/additions, the craftsmanship behind the pieces, their vision for Rolex in years to come, among other things. Rolex has such a rich history and mystique that I feel like the conferences would attract a lot of attention. |

To be honest, that's more for brands like Grand Seiko...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW2ayToG6Hg Brands that need to build recognition and attention. Filled with attendees who are there for a fun evening of horological exploration and socializing...who then see the prices of those references and go right back to looking for a Rolex...that spent nothing on any kind of extravaganza and puts forth almost no effort to garner "new" customers...lol. Interesting how that works... |
