i have been on the searching end over the last several months, and before i decided on a 116509, i was looking at the 116520...in the northeast there were dealers who had them and would sell at retail

they also had "used" ones above retail...how stupid in these times

on the forum there are plenty of grey market dealers who can get them and under retail

the market has softened on them for sure, and IMO waiting for one at an AD is nuts knowing that you can have one anytime at potentially a bit of a cost savings

He then handed me his card and told me to call him if I ever wanted to buy anything, and that I can get a SS Daytona for sure after becoming a VIP customer.

I have had my Sea-Dweller for 4 years now and have been itching for a black dial Daytona ever since reading all this talk about how it's a bit easier to get one now due to the price increases and bad economy, but I have called about 4 ADs in my area and have had no luck.
I was told the same thing. With this economy, VIP this

I'm new to this forum. I've seen 2 ss daytonas just walking into stores, once in Athens greece about 3 years ago and once last week...outside the store window display...I'm seriously thinking about picking it up.

Channels, do walk run and pick it up, if I ever saw a ss available in London either in the safe or on the shelf, I would faint, bad economy or not.

In Hong Kong most, if not all, ADs do not display the SS Daytona stock and I believe at times when they get stock, they go really fast either shortening the wait list (at MSRP)or straight to the grey market (at a premium+). That is why they are still as rare as hens teeth at ADs but always plenty are available at the grey dealers.
