Discount on Seamaster 300M?
I’d like to pick up a Seamaster 300M on rubber (stainless with white or black dial). Is it possible to get a decent (20-30%) discount on these from an AD?

From an AD yes. From a Boutique AD no. At least thats what I've found from visiting both near me.

Ask for 40% everyone is getting that. You will lose 30% on Omega right off the bat.
/End Rolex Fanbois OP 20% is more likely. If you are able to get more you are very lucky. Good luck with your purchase. |

I went through this a few months ago. Managed 5% at boutique and then managed 15% at AD.

You can get 20% off from an AD without much effort.

You never know if you do not ask. 20% should be the range most AD's will work with.

Watchfinder in the UK are advertising pre-owned ones for a hundred pounds or so OVER list price!
Absolute madness - they’re available from the window in every Omega stockist I pass. |

Friend of mine purchased the black dial last month. £4,450 is the MSRP and he was hoping they’d reduce it to below £4,000. AD came straight out with £3,600.
My friend took his card out and that was that Works out at about 20% - I bet if you went in higher you may get it, worst case settle on 20% |

Frederico at Del Ray Watches is selling new Omega watches with box and papers at 20% off. I don't know if that comes with a factory warranty though.

Start high and see what they say. You can always walk out and return or try elsewhere.

I went to an AD and a boutique yesterday and the boutique offered 6% off. The AD laughed when I asked for 30% and said all they could do would be eat the tax (8.25%). I didn’t buy. I’m looking to buy the white dial in the rubber strap.

Ask for, perhaps, 15%? If they say no, ask what amount they could provide. If they say none or it is a very small percent, simply say "Oh, that's unfortunate."
Then thank them for their time, and turn to walk away. (They may not want to lose a sale if they figure you may go elsewhere.) If they then respond with an offer, listen. If they give no response, you are at the wrong sales place and should expect to get a discount SOMEWHERE. You should be able to get some discount on Omega's (and many other brands, sans Rolex.) Nothing to lose by trying, especially as the 300M is NOT a hard-to-get watch model.

When they countered by eating the tax at the AD, I responded by asking for 20%. She said she wasn’t allowed to discount since she was an AD. I’ll be visiting other ADs next week and I think I’ll have better luck elsewhere.

You could just buy through one of the many dealers selling on the forum. I think a lot of them offer Omega warranty and 20% off.

Friend of mine got 15% from an AD in Dallas. I would think the most you can get from an AD is 20%. Keep in mind the margins are a little different for each AD (salary, rent & overhead expenses).
I just saw on Chrono24 a new black dial 2020 for $4075. That's 23.8% off the list of $5350. |

I don't know what it represents percentage wise, but some TS prices hover around $3700.
