Trade - Rose Gold Polerouter ('56) for a Rolex 1601(UK and EU)
Hello all,
After very seriously seeking - and failing - to obtain a SS/WG 1601 earlier this year in what was (and still is) a rather liquid market, I decided to itch a scratch first and buy myself a Rose Gold UG Polerouter. After a few months, the itch has been sufficiently scratched and I'm back out looking for a 1601! I bought a very nice, incredibly well-kept and rather rare pre-microrotor Rose Gold Polerouter dating to 1956 from a very highly rater dealer in Switzerland (more than happy to share his details). This piece has an original dial, chapter ring, hands, crown, case and caseback (the caseback has not been over-polished by any means and the originally pre-60s Universal Geneve logo and serial number is visible, which can't be said for a lot of PRs today!). The only thing that isn't original and has been played with is the Plexiglass, which may come as no surprise! The Polerouter keeps time *incredibly* well, at the last test, we recorded -1/+3, which is owing in large part to the way it's been kept over the years, I'm told. I will ship this (or trade in person) with an additional UG (later) watch strap and a spare unused strap of the same type. Pictures of the watch below. More pictures will available on request. What I'd like to trade this for is a 1601 in a similar condition, WG bezel, not over-polished and as original as possible. I'm not too bothered whether there's a Jubilee Bracelet or not! Thanks in advance! |
