A Non-Rolex Incoming

Got impatient with satisfying the SS itch so settled for a TAG recently at far less cost than a Sub. This is the first one I ever had and I am quite pleased. It was so satisfying to simply order directly from TAG and have it on my wrist two days later. I am impressed by the weight, the finish, the lume and the accuracy. After almost three weeks it has consistently been +1.7s/day. This one will be my beater, leaving my TT DJ41 for dress up.

Shouldn’t this be in the non-Rolex forum discussion section?

Agree, but this is a better thread than some of the Rolex related ones I been seeing....

Congrats on the Tag op!

Yep...it has been moved as appropriate. I started in the Rolex forum just to let folks know/realize there are alternatives to paying $15,000 for a $9,000 Sub or being on a waiting list forever. So, now that my thread has been moved I've completely lost my intended audience.

Very nice! I actually am considering the same but with ceramic bezel. Luckily, my AD has given me 114060, 126710BLNR, 116500 black, and DJ41 blue fluted — but the AR would be a nice “beater.”

Nice, should be a nice beater to alternate with your DJ. Wear in good health!

Nice, TAG has definitely stepped up their game. At one time they were pretty much considered a "fashion watch", not anymore.

Just noticed that you have been a TRF member for only a month. Looks like you have already gained a good handle on how things are supposed to work on TRF. Will look forward to having you keep us all on the straight and narrow. Nice work.

Congratulations. The Aquaracer is a nice watch. I was looking at a green one at a local dealer last weekend and it looked great.

I think Rolex has been handing a lot of sales to Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer, and other brands lately due to their shortage strategy. Yes, it makes Rolex more exclusive but it also puts off a lot of people, myself included.

Could not agree more. I've been looking for a GMTII or EXPII but can't find any through an AD. And.....just can't bring myself to pay grey premiums. This is how I ended up with a TAG.

Nice! TAG has been making really nice watches for a few years now. The Carrera Chronograph are great.
