I was tricked, and will never do business with them again.
That is horrible! I wasn't saying the ebayer seller was right in this case but that sellers who are also selling items in their store might sell it in their store before the auction closes.

In addition to the above posts, they "play" off another name. TNS diamonds uses "Philadelphia Watch & Diamond Exchange", because they are basically right down the street from a longstanding and very reputable pre-owned Rolex/watch dealer named "National Watch & Diamond Exchange". National Watch has a very large store in Philly and has been in existence for many years. I know people that have done business with them, and although they aren't the "cheapest" place in town, I have never heard any sleazy stories about them. Years ago, when I was looking for a particular watch they didn't have, the owner was very helpful in guiding me in the right direction as to where I may find the watch.

I believe they sell on-line, but don't know if they sell on e-bay.

However, my point was that I "believe" that the sleazy tactics of TNS/Philadelphia Diamond & Watch Exchange are exemplified by the confusion they probably have created by the similarity of their name with a long established legitimate operation.

"Tricked" - In my opinion as a criminal/civil lawyer I would say that you were dishonestly deceived by a person/company acting in breach of their fiduciary duty towards you as your authorised agent that warranted civil if not criminal sanction.

Just my

x2. I am not a lawyer, but do have an appreciation for the law. That said, as a consignment shop there is an obligation for the consigner to act in the interests of the consignee. So, this is a breech of contract, and is equivalent to fraud.

Wow Pav that 1655 looks like an excellent piece, original dial, perfect bezel, nice wide lugs congrats

I saw one on TZ yesterday. I asked the guy 3 times is the dial tritium? 3 times he told me "yes".

Then on the telephone he tells me the dial was replaced in 2001 and that it glows in the dark and the hour markers were pure white. (Like hello......Luminova dude )

That was right after he told me he sells a lot of watches and this one was his personal piece, he has references but only e-mail addresses and no-one of any noteriety on TZ or anywhere else. (Gees that made me feel confident )

The photos showed these massive gouges on the top of the lugs, but the dude tells me they were hairline scratches

I said.........."I'll think about it."

Thanks. It took me 1 year to find this piece. I really wanted a straight second hand 1655 but gave up out of frustration.

I will keep an eye out for you Steve.....
