Bezel Inserts

I was just wondering if you could snap a Submariner bezel insert into a GMT master bezel?

I know it would defeat the GMT function - but it doesn't take long to switch inserts - and you'd still be able to use it for timing functions when diving..... Has anybody done this? Or are the dimensions different?

Use a dive computer as your main and a watch and tables as back up.

Hi,
It would be great if you could swap the bezel to all the sporties just fitting a different insert in.
But a bad business case for Rolex....
Best,
Axel

Yes they do fit as long as both models have a sapphire crystal. I know someone who has done it and wears his GMT with a Sub insert.

He went to the AD to have his faded pepsi insert changed out for a new one and they didn't have any in stock. Th AD installed a Sub insert for him.

Well, mine's a 16710 - so I think it has the sapphire crystal, right?
