Tudor Heritage Bracelet - is the last link near the clasp removable?

I just received my Tudor Heritage Chrono and it is absolutely fantastic. However, the bracelet is too long on the 6 o'clock side causing the clasp to overhang my wrist on the 12 o'clock side (pictures posted below).

I took off all removable links on the 6 o'clock side but it looks like there might be a way to remove the last one connecting to the clasp. Is this possible? If so, instructions would be helpful and much appreciated. Thanks!

Is this last link removable?

Why not remove a link from the 12 o'clock side and maybe that will balance the bracelet out? I doubt you can remove the last link because how would that side attach to the clasp???

Take it easy.....Leo

Thanks Leo!

The bracelet fits well but if I could take off the last link on the 6 o'clock side and move it to the 12 o'clock it would be perfect.

I'm trying to get the clasp balanced under my wrist. Right now the clasp is much closer to the 12 o'clock side causing the folding clasp part to stick out from under my wrist. Looks a bit sloppy but otherwise wears ok.

I had this same problem with my 16600 which is why I flipped it. I loved it to death but the bracelet just didn't want to fit right on my wrists.

You can't remove the link that is attached to the clasp. However, you could always remove a permanent link on the 6 o'clock side, although this will destroy the link in the process. A removable link could later be substituted to restore the bracelet's original length.

Thought I would bump this. Had the exact same problem and you can remove another link in the 6 o clock portion of the bracelet by removing the spring bar which holds the clasp lock. I used a thumb tack to gently press in the spring bar, and out it came. This also separates that half of the bracelet allowing you to remove another link. Mine fits perfect now.

Older models used a rivet to hold the first link and bracelet flip in place.. Newer bracelets use springbars and can generally be removed..

Bumping old thread. I am going to try this.

How tight the fit for the non-removable links and clasp? Do I need to press the spring at both end at the same time in order to reinstall the clasp to to non-removable link?

Thanks

It's possible.

Hello. I've had my Tudors Heritage Chrono and my Heritage Ranger bracelet with 4 links at 6 and 5 at 12. The job was made at Rolex service center attaching the 4th link to the clasp. It wears much more comfortable. Regards.

I did that last night at home.

Took off the spring bar at the safety flap of clasp, the link and flip comes apart, remove the last link, reinstall the spring bar / link / safety flap, move that to the 12 o'clock side.

Its none more difficult than sizing the bracelet. :)

With all of the new Tudors out there, I thought I would revive this thread. I just got my BBB this evening and made this adjustment-the clasp is centered and the fit is perfect. I will post pictures in a few!

I've taken my Heritage bracelets down to 5+4 by removing and reinstalling the clasp lock a few times so my wife can wear them. Fits her 5.5 wrist perfectly, with the clasp well centred.

Sorry for the necro-bump, but been searching for an answer but can’t seem to find one. So thought I would ask here...

Bought an original steel bracelet for my Tudor Heritage Ranger last week. Needed to get her down to 4 links at the 6 o’clock side, so removed the bracelet from the clasp and removed all removable links. Everything went fine up to that point, but the spring bar from the clasp just won’t fit into the link. It seems to only fit in the link that originally was connected to the clasp. But It will go almost halfway into the other links...

Has anybody had this problem? Should I try to force the spring bar or search for another spring bar?

Its really buggning me that I bought an, for me at least, expensive bracelet and I can’t use it . Luckily I have the bund and Camo straps until I can get this sorted, but going to Florida in a week and would rather have it on a bracelet by then.

should go in without any issue at all. are you sure you haven't got the spring bars mixed up? the spring bar that connects the clasp to the last link is a bit smaller than the spring bar that connects the end link to the watch.

Sadly they are not mixed up, also those 2 are different lengths if I’m not confused. The spring bar goes into the link that was originally connected to the clasp, but won’t fit into any other links :-(

here's what I think could be your problem

Clasp disassembled, I think you got this part right, with the spring bar and the security catch removed

the 6 o'clock side, notice only 4 links, i.e. all removable links removed

see how the spring bar removed from the clasp assembly would easily go through the last link completely?

Here's the only step I think you may have messed up: when you put the last link into the recess of the clasp, the holes need to be lined up exactly, otherwise the spring bar cannot go all the way through, the tolerance is really tight there. Wiggling the clasp slightly while trying to push the spring bar through helps, but gently.

If you still can't do it, I suggest you go to your AD for assistance.

I'm using the S&G as a demo but the Ranger bracelet is exactly the same in terms of construction.

Now one last question : are you ABSOLUTELY sure that the Ranger bracelet you bought is the genuine item? There are replica Rangers and maybe someone tried to pawn off a fake bracelet as the real deal? You mentioned that the spring bar removed from the clasp will only fit into that one link that was attached to the clasp, this may be the only reason.

Here's my Ranger, with 4 links on the 6 o'clock side

Hey,

Sorry to say, but that isn’t the problem. The spring bar just won’t fit into any other links then where it used to go, and It has nothing to do with the reassemble process.

Seller was a trusted EBay’er in Luxembourg, and the bracelet is to good to be a knock of imho.

I’ll swing by an AD in Stockholm after my trip to Florida to see if they can help me figure this out. If it is a knock of I guess I’ll start a claim against the seller.

Thanks guys for trying to help me!

I know this is an old thread, but I just used the info provided here to size my heritage chrono blue to my tiny wrist. Same issue as others. Inside clasp mechanism stuck out way to far on 12 oclock side. All fixed now. Thanks for posting.
