Here’s mine, I thought it was perfectly aligned, until I showed it to a navigation expert, who after thorough analysis he confirmed it was 1.61 degree NNE.

Grab a dremel and a buff wheel and erase that pesky crown.

Have to agree but then what would some Rolex owners have to moan about.

Rolex needs a tiny adjustable rotating crown emblem, kind of like the Glidelock. You pull out the little logo, rotate it to whatever position you want, and then push it back in. Maybe that'll be the one feature that distinguishes future 7-digit models from the current 6-digit ones!

I thought a perfect alignment was the crown pointing straight up like my Milgauss. If 90 degrees is correct then all of my others are. NBD to me.

But notice as the watch gets older, and you continue to use the crown, the crown will continue to move a bit clockwise when tightened as the seals compress. Worry about that in a few months/years. Gotta get over it folks.

I heard that a perfectly aligned crown fetches a $5000 premium over a generic peasant crown

Let’s see some perfectly aligned crowns.

You mean perfectly aligned in the horizontal axis right? I always envision a perfect alignment along the vertical axis with the crown which I hardly ever see. Not really a make or break point for me. Rolex doesn't care. Why should I?

They already have it on the PM Sky-dweller, sorta. It has a patented three piece crown. Where the crown will always justify in perfect alignment, pointing up at the crystal. Wish it would become a standard feature on all rolex Sport watches with crown guards.

This.
Mine changes when I adjust the date/time.

It's all about health, happiness & family. The rest are just necessary inconveniences we have to deal with.
