Singapore or Hong Kong?

Hello,

My girlfriend and I are from the UK but are currently in New York and have both want to get new watches as a treat - she is after a J12 Chanel and i would like Panerai 161 or 297....

Anyway, we would have bought them this weekend but with the £ being so weak against the $ it makes no sense so we are going to wait for our trip to Asia in September. The question is do we buy from Singapore or Hong Kong. I know both have tax advantages but i was wondering what your thoughts were (also, how do the 161 and 297 compare - from what i can see one 162 has the titanium bracelet whcih i like but i have heard it scratchers badly...).

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about HK or S'pore. For Panerais, you need to place order or at the very least reserve the watch to get it because they sell like hot cakes. As far as I know, the popular models are snapped up within a couple of hours after they arrive at the AD.

just remember they dun sit there at da shop waiting for pickup..... I wish they were....

yeah Andy is rite, there is already a name list of customers showing interests in this pieces and usually are the popular models. So AD priority of cos is to this pool of customers...if you wish pm me what you looking for i help you to check. Singapore there is the 7% tax rebate,i'm not sure in HK...

I'm pretty sure you'll get better deals here in Singapore....
