Wife and I left the AD and started having serious conversations about it and she was all on board. It had been about 30 minutes since we had left the AD, and I was still processing the financial part in my head when received a text from the SA with the following "watch SOLD". It hurt my feelings BUT I also realized that it was not meant to be. I am fortunate to have other nice time pieces.

Congratulations!! You did well!

I would say you did the right thing by not burdening yourself financially. Luxury watches are just that. Luxury! Should buy it only with excess money lying around and never on credit card loans or taking a hit on your investments. There will be better opportunities soon... I’m saying this from a collector’s point of view as we would never sell the watches later irrespective of the demand and market value.

This is simply not fair. The second photo here showing the WG tone is just too alluring. I’m drooling

My bank account may never forgive you :-)

Congrats! I love how it looks like yellow gold if the light hits it the right way.
Mine should be coming at some point....

Congrats!

Was able to get my grail last week too, so I guess that’s when the shipments were heading out.

The WG version is growing on me

It’s a stunner. Congrats. My missus had the same reaction. I had to carefully explain the nuances of the Oysterflex meant that she could never wear it. Shame...

I got mine a short while ago, grey, after waiting for ages and giving up on the AD. Then they predictably phone up a month later and tell me that they have one for me. Of course.

Excellent decision, got mine early this year and been wearing it everyday since. I usually alternate my watches every month but this has been on my wrist for maybe 38 of the past 40 weeks. Enjoy yours in good health mate.

Even my wife looked it and went wow that’s cool!!! This is my first PM model too, with the prices that the stainless steel is on grey this feels like a great option from the AD.

Thanks to this forum for the earlier advice.
