Vintage Jubilee Bracelet Question
Happy New Year to all!
I need help determining wether this vintage Jubilee bracelet is legit. There's no model number stamped (presumably it should be 6251H 20mm) Theres a 4/64 reverse stamp to the Rolex logo on clasp. 55 end links. Any help is much appreciated. |

Looks legit to me. Produced in the 4th quarter of 1964. It looks like it is in desperate need of a rebuild so hopefully the price reflects how stretched out it is.

Interesting. Most 55 end link have only 2 slots, not 4 where the bracelet is joined.
Might just be a different variant? |

Ive seen the end links both ways with 2 notches and with 4 notches.

Thank you all. Another thing to note is the end link doesn’t separate from the bracelet. Is that normal? The last center jubilee link turns into a solid piece running through the end link.

The general consensus seems to be, based on my experience, that Swiss bracelets did not contain the model numbers until after or around 1962 (maybe it was 1964). On Jubilee Rolex Swiss bracelets (not the USA version), the model number 6251 was stamped on the clasp. Based on the 55 end links, this bracelet was for a 20mm Datejust/Oyster Perpetual style watch.

The "4 notch" fixed 55 end link with spring bar tube seems to appear on the earlier versions of the 6251H bracelet.

F.Y.I...
55's with 4 Slots on back are 1965 and older. 55's with 2 lots 66 and up. |
