Panerai 1389 vs. 799

Have anyone looked at these watches and decided to buy the 799 vs. 1389 and why? Thanks.

That's a tough choice. both 47 mm, Titanium vs BMG, 799 has more blue on dial....for me to my eyes it would be the 1389

1389 for me. More versatile due to colors.

I think the 799 is really cool looking and certainly very unique.
If money were no object I’d own both. I’m not sure I’d wear the 799 as an everyday watch. It’s bold for sure and a little busy. Sometimes, depending on the occasion, I think less is more. I went with the 1389 because it was less expensive and felt like it would wear better as an everyday for everything watch. I did consider the 799 but felt the 1389 was overall a better buy for me. If I was Bezos, I would have both and a 692 as well....

One other thing, the 1389 distinguishes itself from every other sub with bar indices vs dots. I kinda like the unique look compared to every other panerai sub and even Rolex SD/Sub etc.

I’ll also add, if BMG, go 692 for the blue dial.

If blue lume, go 1616 for the carbotech.

If a classic and clean Submersible with ceramic insert, the 1389 is perfect.

Going for 1389

Thanks guys for the feedback. I'll definitely go with the 1389. Waiting to speak to my AD next week to order it unless if I find a pre-owned one for a reasonable price but I doubt it.
