Ventured to Omega...Thoughts on this one?

I have several Rolex and love them, and Tudor, and decided to get this awesome Speedmaster Moonphase. Thoughts? I also picked up the sapphire sandwich Moonwatch.

Are you sure it’s real? It looks egg shaped...

A spectacular watch! One of the most impressive dials they make. I considered this watch but the case was a little too big for my wrist. Ended up going with the Speedy Pro in Hesalite.

Instead of getting two I would just get the ED WHITE

Too small at 39mm. I need min 40 but in such a thin wearing watch I need a 42mm which is why I can't do a Daytona.

Congratulations and glad you like it!

Not my favorite Speedmaster variant simply because I have a preference for a Moonphase to be mono-complication.

I own the same watch and love it, the Blue lacquered dial is stunning and it’s the best rendition of a Moonphase out there IMHO. I particularly like the fact that the Moon adjustment is done using the crown therefore it still has 100m WR making it a great any occasion watch. Considering by definition how much a Moonphase suits the ‘Moon watch’ i’ve always thought this model was strangely unappreciated.

It is a beautiful dial, but I always felt it looked too big. How does it wear?

They certainly have big dials, but these have pivoting end links which mean the lug to lug is exactly the length of the lugs - as opposed to the moon watch which can wear wider due to the end links protruding from the end.

The 44’s wear much better than the specs may suggest.
