New to AP- Quartz?
Hello,
My collection is mostly vintage Rolex and Patek, typically pre-80s, typically on the dressier side. I do have a few sport models, but I'm someone that dresses in more formal attire for work, and I'm not a diver or racer. I have been looking more and more at Royal Oaks these days and had a few questions for those more versed in Royal Oaks. I'd say I'm probably most interested in something like the two-toned 4100SA (I like a smaller watch, 36mm is about perfect for my wrist) and am curious if people had any issues with these watches. I've heard from a few sources that sometimes Royal Oaks can need a lot of servicing and be a bit finnicky and I'm curious if that's true. And if that is true, would I perhaps be better suited considering a quartz movement? I know that it's considered blasphemous (I don't own any quartz watches at the moment), but I don't want to deal with a lot of problems. I like the look of the watch and think it's an iconic piece, so this is perhaps a logical next step. Thanks, J |
