The Perfect Stainless Steel Rolex (Professional/Sports) Steel Land Air Sea trio

Hi All,

I am thinking of streamline my current collections to the most popular and highly sought after Rolex stainless steel land air sea theme.

Do you all have any suggestion?

My suggestion is that you think for yourself and pick the models that speak to you, not others. What fits your personality, lifestyle, and would be suitable to your day-to-day activities/environment/attire??

But if you want to go strictly based on maximal hype, investment $$$$ objects, or perceived-image on instagram and other social media, then you'd pick.... *drum roll*:

Green Sub (new 41mm "Cermit"), Pepsi, and White Daytona. All in SS.

Looks like stainless steel

so good enough? :)

But I personally i would go:

No date Sub, BLNR and White Daytona

OR

Hulk, BLRO and Black Daytona

OR

SeaDweller, Blue SkyDweller and Polar ExplorerII

This if you're basing it purely on hype.
Do you have watches in mind that truly spark your interest?

As others said....get the land, air, sea combination that you’ll enjoy looking at the most on your wrist. Or...just get any 3 watches (if that’s your goal number for your collection) you’ll enjoy the most

Which ones I want might not suit you. If I could only have one GMT it would be My Sky Dweller. If I had to chose a Professional SS GMT it would be the Explorer Polar. For a SS diver my one choice would be the 116610LV. Land? Don't know. If we're talking something like the Daytona I wouldn't be looking at a Rolex. Would it be cheating to add a GMT Master SS BLRO?

Which would you chose? It's your collection after all.

I’ve got the BLRO, the Sea Dweller 116600, and a Daytona 116519 LN.

And wouldn’t swap any of them for anything in the Rolex lineup, with the exception potentially of swapping the WG Daytona for a Platinum Daytona. But as much as i like the Platona, not sure i could spend Ł60k on one.

I previously really wanted a Daytona as the "land" watch. But lately I'm really enamored by the very old school trio of a Pepsi GMT, Explorer I, and no date Sub. Increasingly I think this would be my ideal Rolex trio.

Got a thing for the understated 5 digit references.

Explorer II serves as my gmt though I believe it may technically be a land reference? As a travel watch it is durable, relatively inexpensive and among the most under the radar options in the Rolex line.
