I have a 2 liner 14060M. Value seems to be all over the place based on year, condition, box and papers. Earlier versions (F serial) seem to be in the $6500-$7500 range full set (box papers). As you get newer, it jumps to $7500-$8500. I couldn't see paying more than $9000 for an absolutely mint 14060M with box/papers. $10,000 to me just seems too high.
I paid $4750 for mine in 2016, 8/10 condition with box/papers. |

Since you asked, I think it’s ridiculously overpriced. It’s more than a new Sub. These sat in my dealers cases at $5,500 back in the day. If you want to spend 10 G’s in one, go for it, but I think it’s silly to put it mildly

I’m all for true collectible vintage, but it’s gotten to a point where people are just paying stupid money for an old Sub.

8K sounds right on the money, assuming its in very good condition.
10-12K for a NOS

AD Safe 2019 and untouched. A miracle find that a friend acquired, then to me, and has now passed on to a better home. Likely now touched and de-stickered and properly worn like yours ought to be!
Note: The 2014 date was written onto the card. It was a moot point because the 5-year warranty had already lapsed at that point. Card was originally blank except for AD stamp. So, this was truly “NOS”. Quote:

Not necessarily in all cases. Very difficult, yes. Not impossible though.

Being the price of a brand new 124060 £6,450.00 why should someone pay £8,000.00 for an old second hand 14060M?
The answer is because someone prefers the original 5 digit Submariner; if so a watch that has been polished with bezel and crystal replaced is no longer a coeval watch, hence to me it doesn't worth the price. Having said that, my personal opinion about the 5 digit no date Submariner is that the first version 14060 with Tritium Swiss-T<25 / 2 line dial (1988 - 1999) is the most representative and the preferred one; indeed to the contrary of the 16610, the last updated version 14060M (2000 - 2012) did not benefit of the SEL bracelet nor of the updated no-holes lugs. |

some good and very valid points, however the 124060 is a waiting list watch, and that’s if you can get on the waiting list. if you actually want one in the uk, you either have to be lucky and have a relationship with an AD or pay the going price on the grey market which is 9.5-10k at the moment. that’s the reality. I managed to get hold of one for the princely sum of 9.5k, that was considered as a bit of a bargain. secondly the preference for the 14060 and the 14060M is a different argument, other than the newer movement there’s not much in it. there seem to be many more 2 liners around to the rarer 4 liners, the lug holes are part of the charm of owning a vintage/classic rolex but again that’s just my opinion. |
