The easy answer is to have it checked at a RSC.

Then tell us all about it.

The 18kt yachts do come with a champagne dial, but the T25 is not the correct dial for this model as it has a no holes case, the no holes case or head started around 1996 on this model which means the dial should state T Swiss T or Swiss Made if the serial number designates it after 1998.

Until you open the back and verify the authenticity of the movement, you will not know for sure.

Has it been established if the watch at issue is the mid-size (35 mm) or the full size/men's (40 mm)?

I have the ladies' 29 mm size so the proportions might be off. All I know is that the back end of the second hand on mine (the solid dot) fits perfectly in the "o" for "Rolex" (that is, when the second hand is at about 26 seconds past the hour). I can't speak to whether this is also the case on the mid-size and men's size YM.

You had good responses from TRF members. Has there been any outcome to your thread?

Don't know.....I think you should have it checked out. The "M" in the word MASTER goes all the way down.....whereas in the original, the centre of the "M" stops short half way down.

I was thinking same thing on dial markers and hands... Face seems very light but, could be lighting in photo. I recenlty saw one of these at an AD. It is a stunning watch if you can pull the gold look off. Good Luck

Even that gold colour looks all wrong. Here's what the real McCoy should look like in FULL GOLD>>>>>>

If it's a TRIPLOCK on the 40 mm YM, then it should look like the bottom row, extreme left one.

Here is a pic of a women's - similar and may help.

Ps> It's from Ebay... so who knows if it is real either! I was searching completed auctions for the past three weeks to see if I could find the OP watch - no luck.

I'm not having a good feeling about this one. There just seem to be a lot of inconsistencies on this particular watch...

The OP has been on TRF since posting his original question & hasn't bothered to give anyone an update, or bothered to say whether the info given has been of any use.

Have to agree with you......it looks no where even close to the real McCoy!
