How would newer sports models fit my wrist?
I have small wrists so I try to be careful with watch sizing. I'm looking to add a Rolex sports model, but I can't find any to try on at an AD, so I might be in a situation where I go grey and buy sight unseen. Particularly interested in the new Sub. But I am concerned if it may be too big.
I've attached pics of me wearing my smallest watch (DJ 36) and the biggest /chunkiest watch I've ever owned (BB Chrono) as a frame of reference. |

The only way you will get a true answer to your question,is to try the watches
on your own wrist.Nobody can give you the right answer, but i bet some will try to. |

I have a small wrist and think you’ll be fine, pics always make the watch look bigger on the wrist, I currently wear a DJ41 have previously owned larger models like DSSD, SD43 and yacht master 2, they all wore fine to me, looked much bigger in close up pics than in real life views

The closer the camera is to your wrist, the bigger the watch looks. Take a picture of your wrist in the mirror and you'll get a more realistic representation of how big the watch is.

Find a grey dealer in your area that probably has at least some of the models to try on.

Wear what you like. After losing weight my wrist size went down to 6.75'' and my YMII still looks and feels amazing.

Just for reference, here's my DJ36 on my wrist
and how other 6 digit sport models fit my wrist: I found the SubCs too bulky and square for my 6.75inch wrist and eventually sold them both. If you're ok wearing the BB Chrono, I'm sure the new Sub will be fine. Personally, I think the 5 digit Sub fits my wrist better, so maybe something for you to consider if you haven't already. |

I previously owned a 16610 (regret selling it). It was super comfortable, but even that one I sometimes found myself wishing the caseback was a bit flatter. I think the slightly raised caseback would often cause "diagonal movement" which seems to be happening in that picture with your TT Sub. |

Looks like you have same wrists as me. Ever consider a hand model career? (for bonus points...reference to?)
For me, with similar wrists, the 5 digit sports are the sweet spot. I have a 16610 and 16570 and they wear perfect. I tried my buddy's SubC, and it felt too big on me. But again, all personal preference.

I too am fairly sensitive to watch size with my 6.5 inch wrists. In my opinion the SubC (116610) and GMT IIC (116710) are the extreme edge what I can wear and not feel self-conscious. Though I must admit the more I wear my DaytonaC the more I notice the increased size of the SubLV and the more I think of finding another home for it.
Here are some pics of my two that I hope will be of help to you. Both are technically 40 mm.... IMG_5615.jpeg IMG_5616.jpeg IMG_5619.jpeg IMG_5621.jpeg |

If you're comfortable with the BB Chrono, you should be fine with the Sub.
Edit: Nevermind, I see you weren't comfortable with it. |

All the subs I've had, including the 16610 wore slightly top heavy with a tendency to flop towards the 12 o Clock side. You may find your wrist, like mine, is better suited to a GMT, especially with a jubilee which contours to the wrist more, and makes it wear slightly smaller. Although I can't really speak for the new Subs, I have read that they wear slightly flatter than previous references. |

At 6.5 inches wrist circumference, you can pretty much wear any size watch you want. All personal preference. Most people need to stick with one general size. Going back forth between a 36 and 40 plus throws the prospective off making one always seem too big or too small.

So true. Example right here... same watch, same wrist, one picture taken close up, one further away, one looks ridiculous, one looks perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll also echo what others have said in that it makes a big difference if you're looking close up or far away. Close up, I feel like the LV is borderline too big, while further away (say in a mirror) I think it looks perfect. |

I would go for an Explorer, Daytona, or a pre-ceramic Sub.

Based on your wrist size, which is similar to mine. The Daytona and Explorer is probably the best fitting sports watch from Rolex for your wrist. The 6-digit Sub, GMT, etc. as wells the DD40, DJ41 will be large. Over time it might bug you. If you do want to push it, the GMT on the jubilee bracelet hugs the wrist better so you may be able to pull it off.
Trust me, I've bought the 6-digit Sub previously as well as the AP 15400. It worked at first but later I got annoyed and sold them. Beautiful watches though. |

Wrist size is the key reason Rolex is so appealing for me. As they grow in size they become less desirable for me so that’s great.
I just wish there were more 38-40mm options from other brands. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Agree. I think a no date earlier Sub would be perfect.
