How to speed up My GMT IIc

I have just purchased my second Rolex, TT GMT IIc. It has been about 4 months now, but it is consistently about 3 Seconds slower per day. Rather than going back to AD and getting it regulated, I remember there is a way to "speed up" the watch by placing it facing up during nights when it is not on my wrist. Is my recollection correct? I have tried it several nights now, but it did not seem to have made a difference. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about 3 seconds... its certainly not worth sending it in to be regulated!

Try different positions every night, not just facing up. Crown up, crown down, etc.

Dude, your watch is fine. Three seconds is not a problem! Wear it and enjoy it!

You can try different positions at night and see what you come up with. There is not just one position that will speed the watch up in modern Rolex watches.

Just drop it and make sure it hits the floor at around 2 o' clock, works a charm :D

Don't worry about it IMO, but if you really want to try and regulate it try this site.

Get on the treadmill or elliptical machine for 1/2 hour at good run!

You can try laying it flat on it's back at night..Physics will take affect and allow it to run it's most efficiently (probably slightly faster)

You could also be more active....It is well known that a watch that is actively worn, rather than one on a winder constantly, will be slightly faster because it affects the amplitude of the balance slightly shortening it's stroke, and therefore, slightly speeding it up..
