I got mine in November and stayed up to watch it change from 11/30 to 12/1. It is very cool to see happen live.

Is it just me or does it look big for your wrist? Welcome to the club anyway. Congratulations

Thanks, unfortunately I only have 6.5 inch wrists. All the watches I like are a tad too big!

Why would you write that? A bit rude. He didn't ask for anyone's opinion on how the watch wears on his wrist.

All good here! Thick skin on my little wrists! I must say this forum is great with lots of like minded people enjoying watches which is all that matters.

OK, fair enough. I do still think his comment was out of bounds for the decorum expected here.

Interesting to watch the little dot jump at midnight of the 31st to the new month. The month indicator is particularly obvious and intuitive on the earlier models which have Roman and Arabic numerals for the hour markers.

I have a 6.5" wrist. Every watch I wear on it from 38mm to 45mm fits perfectly.

If I want to wear it, there is no such thing as too big.

Great post!

Funny how giddy we can become about the smallest things. Thank goodness I wasn't the only one who was also pretty excited about this.

I have a friend who video recorded his IWC Big Pilot flipping over the time, day, month, year on New Year's Eve so he could watch it over and over. There's always someone crazier than us!

My arm is 6.5", and flattish. The Sky-Dweller at 42mm fits me just fine. So I question if 'too big' may be possibly related to a more rounded arm bone? Or just a matter of personal preference/opinion?

A lot of this may also be attributed to very long Lug-to-Lug across the watch. For example a 50mm Lug-Lug Sky-Dweller in 42mm width might fit someone well, but another 42mm width watch that has 54mm Lug-Lug may be too long to fit well at all due to excessive overhang, so they may shy away from it.

My largest watches are 42mm. Rolex and Tudor, and they have a 'reasonable' Lug-Lug distance that works for me.

I agree with Harry's statement: If I want to wear it, there is no such thing as too big.

In the end it is all a matter of "what does the wearer like" AFAIAC.

My 6.5" wrist is more oval than round. Your point is well made,

Also, I have a 45mm watch with lugs that curve down. It wears as small as a 40mm 11 series Sub. Or appears to.
