Yes, but never the DSSD because if I did, the new watch would disappoint at least on size.

Wholeheartedly agree with the above! I very recently picked up the BLRO, while wearing my JC DSSD. I was initially underwhelmed, when I tried the BLRO. Collecting the watch while sitting in the car did not help either! 2 days later and enjoying the BLRO.

I do exactly this, I couldn't leave the house without a watch on my wrist. Now which one in that case...there might be some consideration to that...

I don’t wear a watch when I’m picking up a new one.

I wear a watch that I previously purchased from the same AD.

I'd feel naked without a watch on my wrist even if it's a cheap quartz beater, so of course I wear a watch going to pick up a new one.

Whichever one I don't wear leaving the dealer's premises goes into a pouch and that goes in my pocket.

It's weird being the same age as old people.

I always do now. I feel like AD’s don’t take me seriously if I don’t have a nice watch on the wrist. I bought my first watch (my Sub) at a Rolex AD in San Francisco when I was 25 (now 32) so most AD’s don’t take me too seriously because of my age.

On a couple occasions I’ve left the house w/o a watch, usually after working on my car or something, and I noticed that I had to be pretty persistent to be given the “Time of Day”, if you will, and have access to back room inventory.

Whenever I walk into an AD wearing a piece I always get offered champaign, scotch and back room inventory access, this is especially true at Rolex.

of course, I had an Apple watch on last month when I picked up my new Sub... I was very happy to put it in my pocket!
