Finally! My new PAM 24 Submersible!

This has been two years in the making...I finally have the watch I always wanted.

This is an H serial that I purchased from a forum member. There are a couple of little issues, luckily all found on the bezel (which I'm having replaced in the next two weeks, don't worry, I'm doing it the right way- there's a dealer/service center in Carmel, CA who should be expecting my watch in two weeks). The number 30 has begun to rotate and it would bother me after a while, so after the bezel change the watch will literally look brand new. The case is in phenomenal shape!

The rubber strap is so comfortable. There was a lot of scratching on the deployant, but I touched it up with a 3M sanding block (extra fine) and it looks great! Super easy...

Here are the pics of this beauty on my 6.6" wrist...

Case does look great and bezel isn't that bad either, looks great on you!

Have you started ordering any straps yet?

Thanks man. Funny you should ask...I have a black kevlar Coramid OEM strap coming tomorrow or Friday - those are pretty cool! I have an old RED 12 (old skool) tan leather strap that I'll throw on at some point...

Awesome, one of the great things about our watches is being able to dress them up or down with a simple strap change!

Exactly...I was pleasantly surprised at how easy strap changes are. It came on the nylon dive strap and I switched to the rubber in about 2 minutes....could be dangerous!

This has been a great day!

At the time NO.
I had just bought a Panerai ( I think it was my 249 & 212) and about a week later the AD calls me ( while I'm on holidays) as she had production #1 available. I couldn't pull the trigger so close to just buying the 249 & 212), so I had to pass.

Hmm thinking about possible trades now. How does my White SS Daytona for a 24 AND an LV Maxi Dial?

Michael,i don't know if its the photos but it looks amazing...watch looks good except some fine scratches on the bezel. Esp the scratch between 6.30-6.35...Case looks minty and most importantly looks great on your wrist!

Thanks a lot Louie! I'd say the case is about 98%. It's very nearly flawless. I'm having the bezel replaced soon by a dealer / service center in Carmel soon, and at that point I'd say the watch would be very nearly perfect! Then again, even with the scratches the watch looks amazing! Such a strong design...my favorite PAM just behind the 243! You have to have a goal...

Michael, have you considered taking the 3M, scotchbrite, or bergeon to the bezel in the scratched spots, since you know you have a replacement coming in? Might be a neat experiment to see if you can touch it up yourself...

Yes, I definitely considered it yesterday...but I'm not sure. I'd have to see someone else's results first as I'm not terribly bothered by the scratches....but perhaps I'll try it this weekend..

No kidding. We hear a lot about the 243 (which is, admittedly, awesome!) and a lot about the 25 (which is definitely cool) but the 24 has a lot of merit as well. The polished case is very Panerai...adds a nice bit of flash in my opinion. I was between the 24 and 25, with only timing being the deciding factor. I have zero regrets. I'm sure that I made the right choice. My first day of Panerai ownership has been a total blast. This is the happiest that a watch has made me (25 + so far).
