I have the grey. A lot of people will say there is not enough contrast with the bracelet, but I disagree. In some lighting conditions, it can look almost black. Get whichever one you like the most.

For royal oaks, imho:

1. Blue
2. Silver
3. Black
4. Grey

1. Black
2. Grey
3. Silver
4. Blue

Yeah I know there is more demand for blue, but for this model, I just think blue doesn’t look as sharp compared to a chronograph model. Again, get what you like. Don’t worry about resale value.

Another great picture showing how good the Grey looks in the “real world”

The pics of the grey one in this thread are the best of the 15500 I have seen. So my vote goes to grey. Looks unique and more modern than black I think.

Not much into blue or silver for the 15500 and prefer the 15202 for those colors.

Agree, this watch looks better in Black or Grey. Blue looks better for 15202 and chronographs.

Black always seems to be the 4th option to most, and although the dial itself may not be as striking as the other 3 (debatable) the overall aesthetic IMO puts it at the top. The white gold markers twinkle in the black contrast. If the AP blue wasn’t boutique exclusive it wouldn’t be as sought after.

I have a 15450 grey dial, it lacks the contrast for me. I’d go for the black dial if I had a choice. Don’t get me wrong the grey dial is also a very nice piece

I’m not sure that’s a fair photo comparison, but yes, the blue wins in that photo battle. Frankly, these discussions, though loads of fun, are ridiculous. It’s like arguing why your favorite color is better than someone else’s. We’re all kind enough here to respect that everyone is going to have their own opinion, and wise enough to know that opinions are like a**holes. Everyone has one and they all stink. Haha, god bless you all and enjoy your beautiful watches!!
