What measurement of gap between the links of a DD Presidents bracelet is acceptable and what isn't?

This is a very reasonable question that I'm struggling to answer. Acceptable tends to be subjective. For example, the oval link jubilee bracelets look great and wear great, even with significant stretch, but you are asking about President bracelets. Most would probably say "tighter is better", but there's a degree of comfort in a bracelet that has developed some stretch from wear. More critical for the look is the gap between end-link and case: this can be extreme if the case has seen a lot of polish, or the spring bars are the wrong diameter (or, heavens forbid, skinny stainless instead of fat gold) or if the end links are wrong for the vintage. Any given example, I'd encourage you to try it on the wrist, rather than going only by photos, although a certain degree of unacceptable slack can be predicted from the "drooping side view" photos of some President bracelets.
