FS: Longines Admiral Automatic 8581
Hi all!
Here is for sale Longines Admiral Automatic 8581 with serial number 16056685 from 1971 according to Longines’ archives. The watch is made of stainless steel. For sale is the watch and a printed letter from Longines’ Heritage Department about the provenance of this specific watch. This one was was invoiced to Societe Anonyme Longines Geneve (S.A.L.G.) in Switzerland. The cushion outer case is made of chrome plated stainless steel, has size of 41mm across and 12mm thickness. The case is unpolished – has original sharp edges, no deep scratches or dings on case’s face, just one ding on the back between 7 and 8 o’clock. Movement is automatic Longines caliber 431, works decent – keeps time around –11sec/day. Serviced in December 2020. No movement pic because watchmaker (I asked him for it) forgot to take it while assembling midcase. Crown is authentic signed Longines. Caseback is stainless steel and has serial number 16056685. Crystal is slightly domed acrylic, has no blemishes. The dial has mixed color combination - light blue minute outer track, navy inner circle with 4 tritium markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, white hour markers and Longines logo Admiral Automatic, T Swiss Made T on the bottom. Hour and minute hands are white filled with tritium matching 4 markers on the dial, please see pics under UV light. Second hand is red. Dial has date window at 3 o’clock. The strap is a brand new navy blue leather one with stainless steel buckle, 20 mm. The watch is in great condition and it looks beautiful due to it’s great preserved sharp cushion case and super crisp dial. Price is $840 through PayPal Friends and Family (or $880 through G&S). DHL Express International Shipping is included in price (2-5 working days). I ship international from Chisinau, Moldova. |
