I get it for 49 locally at first I was so so but after a few times I really like it for a sub 50 bottle.

Just kidding, I have several bottles of WSR, as well. I much prefer the Antique 107, but that's even harder to find for decent prices, as of late... Man, whiskey is going the way of Rolex... |

I know I know $20-$25 and ALWAYS sitting on the shelf, in the NYC area everything is always $5-$10 bucks more even before the craze so its not highway robbery.

Any good recommendations for $200-$400 range as a bachelor party gift? Looking for something peaty along the lines of Laphroaig or Ardbeg. Trying to get something tasty and not an everyday pour. Would also be open to other whiskeys but the bachelor is a peat fiend so think that be a solid starting direction.

I'm undecided as far as the peach goes, but I like the others.

How do you find the Jeffersons voyage 20? I recently had the 17 and while I did appreciate a mild saltiness and it was very smooth, overall I found the flavor profile a bit muted with minimal aftertaste.

The port is a plumb bomb for me, which I like but can be a little overpowering. The Cab I think is the smoothest and most closely aligns with my wine flavor profile. The Chardonnay is my least favorite, however, I do see it getting very good reviews. I do not typically like Chardonnay so I am not too surprised. I probably will not go out of my way to find it again until a new set comes out next year. From my understanding, they'll come out with a new set finished in different casks. |

Thanks! You can find this one in my area, with some hunting. This time last year I could find it consistently at retail, now it’s a bit tougher to find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just poured 2011 Austin Nichols WT followed by 2010 Ezra Brooks 7. So weird that 2000s-era is semi-dusty now. The Turkey was fantastic and the Ezra quite good.

OK, here is your chance to school a Dorklehead about Whisky (BTW, I’m a Dorklehead about a lot of other topics as well ). I drink Alcohol very very rarely, and even then about the only stuff I do is what I guess you would call a port ?. I like a thick-sweet drink like Baileys, Chambord, Kahula. Yeah, I know, real hard-core drinker. Anyway, I have tried a couple of “good” whiskeys, friends like Larry (BNLion) has introduced me to a couple. I just couldn’t find a taste I enjoyed. So, for you experts, knowing the type of drinks that I do enjoy, is there a whiskey you would suggest I give a try? This may be a stupid question but remember I admitted to being a Dorklehead.

That sounds excellent! Good pickup. I think that there is a lot of value in Cognac and Armagnac. Trying to pick up what I can before people find out how good these are. |
