POLL: PAM 112 or PAM 183?
Getting my first Panerai and really cannot decide between these two models, although they are so different, I love them both and need to decide. I am a woman, but have large wrists. I love the elegance of the 183, but the simplicity of the 112 is also beautiful. What do you think? It will be an everyday watch as I have some other watches for special occasions. Any advice will be appreciated!

for a woman... i think 183 will be a better choice..
112 has a pretty thick case..

112 just screams Panerai. It has all the essentials you could want in a PAM!

112 Simply reason
You will want to change straps often to "accessorize". Much easier on the 112 and more straps available in that size. Custom straps for the 183 are generally a bit wider.

I was in a similar position a few years ago. Decided I wanted the Luminor Marina first, due to it having the crown lock and being more of a Panerai, went for the 112 then 2 years on went for the 177, then 1 year later bought my Radiomir 183. I never have the Radiomir off my wrist and my wife wears my 177 constantly!!!! She loves it.

Thank you all for your advice, it is much appreciated. I am veering towards the 112, also because it is slightly cheaper. I think it will look very cool with a bright coloured strap.

Another vote for the 112, can't beat it's simplistic beauty and design.

what ever you choose, you cant go wrong both are great, i have to agree that the Lum will give you a wider range of straps, in 24/24 if you like to change this.
the Rad will lay flatter on the wrist, and is IMHO a little more dressy making it a little more easy to wear under shirts. The lum does indeed have the very eye catching "declick" on it but i would not say a Rad is less Panerai due to missing this. good luck... |

My wifey wear my 183, and look so BEAUTIFUL in her wrist IMHO.
Maybe someday I will post the pics here. After she wearing 183, the Sub ND is not in her wrist anymore. So, I'm planning to flip my Sub ND. My vote is 183. |

I currently have both but am selling the 183 as I love the 112 so much more. The 112 is more classic Panerai, and I love the crown guard and simplicity of the dial. another thing that also annoyed me about the 183 is that it has a slight lighter dial and the numbers on the dial are slightly thinner...small things but frustrated the hell out of me.
get the 112 and you won't be disapointed. Mike |

I am not that crazy about women wearing mens watches (look like its not yours), my wife own a Rolex 26mm white gold with diamonds on a Blue Lapis dial, look just great and feminine on her wrist and also own a Chanel white ceramic J12 H1629 with little diamonds on white dials nice sport look 38mm witch is big enough for her wrist and comfortable to wear...She tried my pam112 once...she hated it...too heavy and too masculine and not comfortable to wear!!! But we all have different taste right?
If you realy want a Panerai I would suggest the Pam113 (white dial on light brown lezard strap! |
