New guy looking for some answers

Hey all,

Just wanted to get a few opinions on what you guys think about getting Into the watch game and I was hoping to have a couple questions answered.

A little bit about me. I have been into watches for about a decade now and I have recently saved a decent amount of cash, I was looking to get into reselling watches. I want to start in a small specific area and learn it well before progressing.

1. I read up a little bit and found that some dealers can buy for as low as 30% of retail price. How true is this? It’s on secretentouarge and in the article it’s under “the buying power”.

2. What are the best realistic ways to sell a watch once you have purchased it?

3. What are the best ways for spotting counterfeits?

4. Generally speaking where are the best deals often found? ( auction, pawn shops, networking, etc?)

Any and all opinions are welcomed please let me know what you think because I am curious to learn more and become more involved.
