longevity of silicon parts?
is the longevity of silicon parts a worry down the road or am i just being silly? i'm thinking that too much proprietary "in-house" parts can be an issue for servicing decades later. sometimes i don't mind the simple eta or unitas movements since there are parts around for forever, and some of the in house movements don't offer any tangible benefit. anyways just curious what opinions or experience of this is.
