Any info' on the new Datejust dials?

Specifically, how are they made? Laser? Transfers? Magic?

Are there any resources out there?

Thanks

Each of the dials is first radially brushed before the motif is applied with a femtosecond laser – essentially an ultrafast laser that lightly burns the surface of the dial to create the pattern and texture. As a result of the high-tech process, the dials are impressively nuanced – the palm motif is executed in two contrasting shades that provide an impression of depth and shadow.

Thanks PaulG for the info. The palm frond dials are not my style but the technology to make them is impressive.

Individually engraved by hand in the Bahamas and shipped via private plane in small batches to Switzerland for assembly? Or laser etched as described above.
