Question on 15500st
I’m very interested in the 15500. It’s funny because I’ve never been attracted to the RO. But I have a friend that got a blue dial one, and I tried it on. Its all I can think about now lol.
I think I prefer more of a white dial. Which brings me to my question. Is the 15500 more silver or white? My first Swiss timepiece was an Omega Aqua Terra silver on silver. About 14 years ago. I really want something more white than silver bc I’ve got a watch that’s silver in silver (although I do love that look). Any advice? Thanks. |

It is quite white although it certainly still has a lovely luster to it. The grey dial is in many ways more silvery

I have a "silver" (that's the official color description) dialed 15500. I would call it a white dial with a metallic or silver finish.

I just picked up this piece today. It definitely is more silver than white most of the time, but sometimes can have a brilliant white character to it. The outer perimeter of the dial does appear to be more white than the tapisserie portion.
Regardless of whether it is silver or white, it is a very classy and clean looking dial, and quite versatile too. |

I think the silver dial is beautiful...but does it appear too monochromatic in person? That would be my only hesitation. I tend to like contrast between a dial and the bezel/case, but I do think the silver dial on the RO is beautiful.

I had the same concern initially, but the dial has a different sheen than the case/bracelet. Also, I feel the outer perimeter that contains the minute & second markers has a more white shade, which breaks things up a bit as well. |

I definitely find it to be more white than silver. To me the grey dials appear more like silver dials.. so I was confused by the naming for a very long time.

Actually, not true. I'm still enamored by the white dial. While I do not mind having a blue dial just because it would add monetary value to my collection, I actually prefer the clean look of the white. While some pieces do look best in blue (ie. VC Overseas), as a whole, it is a little overhyped in my opinion.
